DANIELLE [DL] ACKEN is an award-winning food photographer and writer with a visual language shaped in the late punk era and refined over two decades of disciplined practice. Working between Vancouver, London, and her farm studio on Salt Spring Island, she produces cookbook and commercial food photography for publishers, chefs, and culinary brands internationally.

A two-time “Best in the World” winner at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, DL brings both authorship and production expertise to every project.Her work spans full-manuscript cookbook production, packaging campaigns, and editorial commissions, combining tonal precision with narrative continuity.
